Writer born in Zaragoza in 1960. He has been writing books for children and youngsters, since 1981.

He has acted as co-ordinator for Librelula, a study group that evaluate childrens’ and youngster’s books. Librelula also promotes reading activities and writing workshops. Since the year 2001 he is also part of Ancora, a company similar to Librelula. Together with Ana Lartitegui, he set up Pantalia, a company that organizes cultural events and exhibitions in the field of children´s books and illustration.

Sergio Lairla has taken part in many creative writing workshops as well as in symposiums and conferences.

He has published books with some of the best publishing houses around the world.
